Edward A. ("Ted") Brown graduated from Tabor Academy in Marion, Massachusetts in 1980. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York in 1984, and graduated from the University of Maine School of Law in 1987. Mr. Brown divides his time between the main office in Brunswick, the "winter office" at Sugarloaf U.S.A., and the "summer office" in Georgetown, Maine. Mrs. Brown is the Superintendent of Schools for the City of Augusta. The Browns have three children, and one grandchild.
Our paralegal assistant, Sharon Greene, first started as a legal secretary upon graduation from Mt. Ararat high school (in Topsham, Maine) in 1986. After working for Attorney John Moncure in Topsham and Brunswick, Maine and a short stint with a law office in Jacksonville, North Carolina, Mrs. Greene started working for Mr. Brown at Kohler & Brown in 1991. She obtained her Paralegal Certificate from Casco Bay College in Portland, Maine in 1998. Mrs. Greene resides with her husband and two children in Bowdoinham. Clients are encouraged to deal with Mrs. Greene as much as possible to help save on their legal fees.
Benet Pols is retiring from the active practice of law and is now "of counsel" to the firm. He is on the Brunswick Town Council.
Rylie P. Dog joined Mr. Brown's solo practice in June of 1998 at the age of four months. Tucker K. Dog joined the office over Christmas in 2007. Both dogs help with office security, but would rather be someplace else.
